In the UK, only around a third of the 650,000 tonnes of discarded clothes are given to charity or second hand stores to be resold, and the rest (440,000 tonnes) is sent off to textile recyclers or the bin.<\/p>
As nearly two thirds of all clothing is now made from synthetic material like polyester, it means that much of it ends up in landfill or incineration as it cannot be easily recycled into new products.<\/p>

Shredded material is broken down and respun into Remill yarn (50% recycled organic cotton and 50% organic cotton), dyed, then cut and sewn. The new Remill product is ready to be printed on demand, just like our other products, and can be sent back, again and again, to keep material in the loop.<\/p>
This means that every item purchased never has an of life. Help us end wastage by sending back your products to Remill and even get store credit for the items you send back as a thank you from us.
